  • Using 'mongostat'

     mongostat :

     
    mongostat is a tool provided by MongoDB which is used to see the statitics about db servers int real time.
    It is contained in the standard MongoDB package. 
    mongostat provides info about status of mongod and mongos instances.
    mongostat provides real-time info about connection, update, delete, insert, queries,read and write, flushes, etc. 
    It becomes useful to make a quick check on activity of database and see whether the values are within particular limits.
     
    How to start ?
     
    While running mongod locally, we have to just start 'mongostat' and it will be connected automaticllay and all the details will be displayed. Or else we have to specify one or many hostnames and ports to connect to.

    Now first of all create a file named as "stu_db.js" at (location is /home/nikheel)  and put following js code to it.
